Fifty years of sunshine on Market Street
Since 1976, before “health food” was fashionable, this store has been helping Jackson County feel better.
When this store opened its doors, gas was sixty cents a gallon, and most people had never heard of a supplement aisle.
Sunshine Health Foods has been part of downtown Pascagoula for half a century. Through every change the Gulf Coast has seen, the store on Market Street has kept doing the same simple thing: stocking honest products and giving honest advice about them.
Ask the folks who shop here and they’ll tell you about the people more than the products. Customers describe visits as “a wonderful educational experience” and say the staff is “amazing and very knowledgeable.” That reputation wasn’t bought. It was earned one conversation at a time, for fifty years.
